Meet Me

Meet me in the summer,
underneath the tree.
There I shall sit
and forever wait for thee.
Meet me in the autumn,
when the leaves are golden brown
and as I wait for you,
I watch the leaves
fall gracefully to the ground.
Meet me in the winter,
as the cold winds blow.
I sit in somber silence
and watch the drifting snow.
Look for me in spring,
can you see me there?
My life has faded from me,
as I waited in despair.
